Joseph Dello, Founder and President of Thermo-Kinetics
Remembering the Life of Joe Dello
Thermo-Kinetics remembers its’ inspirational and caring Founder
Joseph Dello, Founder and President of Thermo-Kinetics, passed away on June 21st, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Gwen, his 4 children and 9 grandchildren.
With over 65 years of experience in the industry, including 43 years as President of Thermo-Kinetics, with Joe’s dynamic personality, he was able to cultivate business relationships into true friendships, which undoubtedly has led to Thermo-Kinetics’ success and longevity.
Joe’s passion was second to none. After starting the company in 1971, Thermo-Kinetics focused solely on distributing instrumentation and sensors. However, with his devotion and knowledge, Joe soon expanded Thermo-Kinetics into manufacturing. Due to Joe’s vision, and dedication, Thermo-Kinetics continues to be a leader for temperature sensors in Canada.
Anyone who was fortunate to meet Joe, knew of his passion and love for his family and friends. Joe was a very kind and caring man who loved spending time with his wife and family. Joe will be missed by all the people he met, and the lives he touched while at Thermo-Kinetics.
A memorial service was held on the evening of Monday June 23rd, 2014 with very little standing room due to the number of people who came to remember a man whose life was full of love, happiness, passion, and success.
Joe Dello’s legacy will live on through his family and the company he founded, Thermo-Kinetics.

Jeff Dello, Vice President and General Manager
Joining the Thermo-Kinetics team in 1981, Jeff is an experienced veteran in the industry. As a strong leader, he is able to look at any situation, whether it is sales, production or purchasing, and know what needs to be done. Jeff has also been described as customer service-oriented, as is the culture at Thermo-Kinetics. His passion for sales and dealing directly with customers has enabled the business to maintain its hands-on, personal approach.
Jeff has always been a high achiever. He holds a LLB and an MBA – he began his professional career in the legal field working with a sole practitioner before joining Thermo-Kinetics. He once received an acknowledgement from the Toronto Police for foiling a purse snatching – clearly evidence of his good nature and instinctive kindness. (Just keep your hands off his morning paper.)
Off hours are spent on the golf course, playing hockey, watching sports, and spending time with his wife, Anne and their three children. He was previously President of the Canadian Process Control Association and supports the Weekend to End Breast Cancer.

Peter Dello, Central Region Manager
Peter has been with Thermo-Kinetics since May of 1984. His ability to listen to the customer coupled with his strong industry and product knowledge enables him to bring forth the best solution to an application. In both his managerial role as well as his sales role, Peter focuses on developing relationships with Thermo-Kinetics’ customers and principals. He enjoys the collaborative efforts that lead to the best solution for the customer.
A true family man, Peter takes pride in the values his parents have instilled in him, both personally and professionally. He enjoys working with his brother, Jeff, and says it is because they are so different that they make a great team. They do have some things in common, though, one being that they both enjoy golfing. Depending on the season, you can find Peter on the golf course, on the hockey rink, or at the farm visiting his daughter’s horse. He enjoys down time with his wife, Susan and their two children.
Giving back to the community is important to Peter, as he has volunteered with the YMCA, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Spinal Research Organization, and was a member of the Parent Council at his kids’ elementary school. The Hospital for Sick Children is particularly close to his heart, as his wife has a rewarding role there, and knows the great things they do every day.
Peter was a past President of the Hamilton ISA and is the current President of the Canadian Process Control Association (CPCA).
